Still trying to figure out what I paid $98.00 for? Technician came out and it was obvious he did not want to take my 30" Kitchen Aid wall oven out to trouble shoot. He tried to tell my wife who has been baking cakes for over 40 years how she was not baking correctly, that's why her cakes were not coming out right. When he got on the phone with me I told him how the oven had a weird smell and the junction box was warm to the touch. He finally took the cover off and discovered the wire nut on the black wire had melted. All this tells me the wire nut was loose, so the technician then tells me that when the oven was installed the black wire had been hooked to the ground wire. He then said, "I'm sure you want to fix it yourself !" Well when I got home I did crawl under the oven into the cabinet below the oven which is a pain, but the ground wire was not hooked to the back power wire like he said, which tells me he never even got close enough to be able to tell what the problem was! I took the time to re-strip the black stranded wire, get a new wire nut and make sure it was very tight on the black power wire and then put on new electrical tape. So as I asked, what did I pay $98.00 for? I did all the work?
