REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF540CWHZ02 Installed new control board on fridge. Third control overall. Let customer know to call in to Whirlpool if problem persists. Customer has not had working fridge since May of 2020 with multiple service visits. All parts have been replaced and multiple calls to tech line have been made. Parts are starting to be replaced multiple times. Customer losing food and time! Q1:N Q2:N no signature due to Covid 19 Protocol.

REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF540CWHZ02 "Customer complained the fridge was too warm with the latest repair of taping off 50% of the return from tech line. Checked temps and got 45.2 degrees in the fresh food section. Checked ohm rating at the board of the fresh food thermistor and got 5.36 confirming the temperature. Cut thermistor out of harness and put in cup of ice water. Checked ohms and got 8.79 confirming temperature and proper fuction of thermistor. Called tech line and spoke with Chris, he said to change the HV control again?!? File number 7729979410. Customer very upset with the continued service visits and continued run around from WP. Been working on this unit since August. Customer has had to throw out alot of food and just wants a fridge that works. REFRIGERATOR WHIRLPOOL WRF540CWHZ02 "Customer complained that the fridge was getting too cold then it would get too warm. Would never get to the correct temperature. First fridge was freezing food, calibrated fridge up 6 degrees as the logtag was reading an average of 31.9 degrees when the fridge was set at 38 degrees. Customer stated the fridge was not cooling enough then so adjusted temps down 4 degrees to +2 calibration. Then the customer complained the fridge was freezing food again, raised up 2 degrees to +4 calibration and now freezing food then food to warm. Checked temp and got 46.1 degrees in a glass of water. Checked the value of the thermistor and got 5.42 ohms showing 45-46 degrees. Called tech line and spoke with Robert. He said to block off 1/2 of the return and the pantry air inlet. File number 7729979410.; schdld next appmnt for 2/15 MON !"
