Appliance Repair in Sawgrass, Florida

Darrell did a fine job fixing our microwave/oven and I have no complaints with his level of service. The problem is with the prior service person and the fact that overall it took flamingo 3 visits to take care of our issue. The first service person arrived at our house and didn’t even open the mircrowave but promptly announced that we needed a new panel - for our 1 year old Jenn air microwave /oven . He left saying it would take 3 or 4 weeks for the part. When the part arrived and service was scheduled we were told that the service person would text us when he was in the way - he did not and just showed up … thankfully I was off my conference call and was able to let him in. He then installed the new panel and the oven still didn’t work . He had told me that he had ordered both parts “just in case”. He went out to the truck and brought in a small smashed up box and said - “oh it arrived broken”…. Certainly not his fault according to him and he would have to reorder . We told him we were unhappy with this and would appreciate an afternoon visit when the new part came in … he agreed to schedule that way. When the “new part” came in Darrell was scheduled to arrive - we were told it would be an afternoon appointment - but the night before we received a text saying he would be there between 8-12p. The next morning we relieved a text at 730am saying he was “on his way” and would be there in 30 minutes. We both work so then had to scramble for this late change. At 845 he had not arrived so I called the office and was told he was on the way ???? He was supposed to be there at 8am according to the text. I voiced my displeasure at the terrible communication and lack of customer service - especially considering they had already been out 2 times and we had waited for over a month at this point. I told the call center we needed someone to come in the afternoon and he said “no this is scheduled for a 2 man job” and that’s why it has to be done in the morning ….. ??? Since when …. The previous tech and said he was going to do it had the piece not been broken ??? Now our new tech finally arrives at 9am …. Solo…. So where is the required second man for the job ???! I mean this is the reason it was supposedly scheduled for 8-12 and not at our requested time ???? He then said his supervisor said to go ahead and try to do it alone ? This is horrible service - inconvenience - poor communication … and outright lies. I would never use Flamingo again and am lodging a complaint with BBB as well as reaching out to Jenn air directly to tell them they should not be associated with such poor customer service . As an fyi I looked in BBB and the sight is flooded with nearly identical stories and situations with flamingo . I would never recommend .
